Is it possible to sell a web design business?

Question by Pancakes: Is it possible to sell a web design business?

I am starting up my own web design business but I would like to know if it would be possible to sell it when I go to university if it is successfull.

if you are a solo shop, it will likely prove difficult to impossible to sell.

the better route would be to get it going and then go into partnership with someone else in the same business who isn’t going to go to uni when you do — and then have your partner buy you out over the next four years.

btw, a reasonable price for the buyout might well be your portion of one year’s net profit, excluding the amount you take out of the business.

I’m in my late teens and I’m trying to loose weight. I’m 5’7” and was at 211 lbs before I started my changing my diet. I’ve been doing that since January 6th..I am currently at 192lbs..oh yes! I’ve still got a lot to do but I could use some encouragement. How’s my weight loss progressing?

HIGH FIVE!! That’s so funny.. I was at 210! I weigh 170 now, and still on the roll. It’s tough… but DON’T GIVE UP! Remember it’s a lifestyle change. Do you do cardio? It gives you so much energy!!

Or is the ongoing argument that the individual mandate in Obamacare is somehow the same as some states requiring proof of insurance when registering an automobile just absurd?Can you imagine if buying car insurance was actually similar to what’s in Obamacare? it’s the end of the road for my 7-ish year weight loss journey. i started the whole thing weighing 225 pounds and my personal goal at that time was to lose 100 pounds. i have 10 pounds to go. and 30 days* in which to do it. i figured what better way to be serious about it than to do it under public scrutiny?

and yeah, that’s a super old and awesome vintage scale that lives under my sink…sorry it’s kinda blurry/dark/dusty. i’m sure i’ll take better photos of it in the next 29 days.

wish me luck!

*why 30 days? that’s when i’ll be forced to wear a bathing suit in public for the first time since last summer. seems as good a reason as any to drop the excess flab!

I am a web design student and I have to set up an ecommerce site. I have the shopping cart thing down, but I would like to set it up so each person can create there own login/account. I really have no idea how to do this. Can someone help me out please?

wow, that’s incredibly vague. You should include things like what language you’re programming in, ideally post some code along with the question. I’m not trying to chew you out or anything, just trying to help you ask future questions a little more clearly. That being said…

Basically you’re going to need to make an HTML form with some inputs so the user can input whatever data you need for a user. Also, you need to set the action attribute on the form to the name of the file that will process the information (php, python, jsp, etc file).

clicking the submit button will push the input’s data to file.php. Depending on what language you’re using, you will use different syntax to get those parameters and enter them into the database. I’d at least need to know what language you’re programming in to help you out anymore. good luck, hope that was some help
